In addition, some isolates coproduced plasmid-mediated AmpC β-lactamase, ACT/MIR (n = 1) or CMY-2 (n = 2).
However, few reports have been published about strains in animals producing ESBLs or CMY-type cephamycinases, which confer resistance to expanded-spectrum cephalosporins (22, 23 ), and no CTX-M-type β-lactamase producer has been isolated from animals.
The resistance plasmids carried genes encoding β-lactamases of Ambler class A (SHV-12), B (VIM-1 or VIM-4), and C (CMY-2, CMY-4, or CMY-13) (Table), which represent key emerging resistance determinants to ESC and carbapenems.
In this case, each source (channel/emitting model) or sink (absorbing model) is assigned a basic CMY (cyan, magenta or yellow) color and the coloring of each displayed node is a result of mixing the colors corresponding to its source- or sink- specific values for each of the boundary points.
In an ongoing study using whole genome sequencing to characterise third-generation cephalosporin-resistant but piperacillin-tazobactam susceptible E. coli or K. pneumoniae from BSIs in Singapore, CTX-M-type ESBLs predominated (found in more than 85% of isolates) although plasmid-mediated AmpC (CMY- or DHA-like) β-lactamases were present in around 10% (in-house unpublished data).

While these CMY filters look similar to the previous set, their spectra are broader.
