Of the 20 most commonly recorded operations, trainees were the primary operator in the majority of only 3 of these procedures: simple skin excision (2,050 of 2,757; 74.4%), incision and draining of an abscess (366 of 488; 75.0%) and ingrown toenail operation (340 of 448; 75.9%).
