The leadership group understood that in order to move toward this vision, faculty would need an opportunity to "buy-in" and to operationalize the vision for themselves individually and within their departmental context (Kezar 2013).
Our next step was to begin operationalizing the core concepts of Vision and Change into specific statements for each of the three major subdisciplines of biology.
