Due to the focus on objects, and the fact that the attentional system is geared toward detecting visual novelty, an onset of object change or novelty in a complex scene should capture attention in Westerners, as one would expect in any event of visual onset [23], [29].
EEG global field power was reduced with repeated intentions at an early (starting at 60 ms) and a later (∼330 ms) period after the onset of a hand-on-object encounter.
