The European Commission currently supports an online platform aiming at facilitating the sharing of ecosystem service maps and mapping methodologies (esp-mapping.net/), as part of the ongoing Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystems and their Services (MAES, Maes et al. 2014), which is one of the key actions of the EU biodiversity strategy (European Commission 2012a).
