Sapho may focus on ways to make legacy software more modern, but the product itself is a product very much of the new wave of IT applications and how they are priced on demand: it is $4 per active user per month, with a one-time connection fee "to connect the gnarly older stuff" in the words of Yared.
For instance, the EU's retail-price caps apply to the price per minute which could prevent operators from offering cheaper roaming charges based on bundles of minutes or a one-time connection fee.
Hotels may charge a one-time connection fee for such calls, but the per-minute rates are generally lower than 40 cents.
Again, a one-time connection fee of up to $1 will generally be charged when using cards at hotels and pay phones.
The Chapman developments are hooked up to town sewers and water, for which homeowners are charged a one-time connection charge of $5,800 per house and a one-time water benefit assessment of $300.
