Formal evaluation feedback on each workshop was elicited using short questionnaires.
These included PowerPoint presentations on each workshop topic and NEEF's peer-reviewed resources such as pediatric environmental history forms and Environmental Management of Pediatric Asthma: Guidelines for Health Care Providers (NEETF 2005).

For example, in the scientific writing workshop organized for the first cohort of students, participants were asked to rate the usefulness of each workshop session on a 4-point Likert-type scale ranging from not at all useful to very useful.
In the SALG surveys given at the conclusion of each workshop session, participants ranked multiple aspects of each workshop on a scale of 1 5, with 5 = "great help"; 4 = "much help"; 3 = "moderate help"; 2 = "some help"; and 1 = "little help".
On average there was just over one student contribution to the online forum for each workshop (it was not possible to analyse how many of the students in attendance at each on-site workshop asked a question or made a comment during the workshop for comparative purposes).
