"on a bright side" is a correct and usable phrase in written English
It is often used to introduce a positive or optimistic aspect of a situation, especially after discussing a negative or difficult one. It can be used in both formal and informal writing. Example: The economy has been struggling, but on a bright side, unemployment rates are slowly decreasing.
