POWER TECHNOLOGY group ABB has made a breakthrough in the ability to interrupt direct current (DC), solving a 100-year-old electrical engineering puzzle, paving the way for a more reliable electricity system.
It was the blackened wire which Stuart Campbell first spotted, as he tramped off a "vile, verminous, vicious day at work", and since it was almost beside an electricity pylon, he concluded grumpily that he had found some old electrical cable.
Kal Wallner, a 41-year-old electrical engineer from Ottawa, said he spent about $5,000 on an all-electric brewery (most are gas-fed) that he installed in a basement room underneath his front porch steps.
"People are people," said Manoli, a 19-year-old electrical engineering student.
No. 6, an old electrical turbine, once enjoyed a certain amount of fame.
The other, a 46-year-old electrical engineer, was treated for a broken arm.
Antonio Gonçalves, a 36-year-old electrical worker who lives in the neighborhood, was less sure.
"It's [sic] old electrical grid, which was in terrible shape, was devastated.
Mr. Goetz, a 37-year-old electrical engineer at the time, is white.
Waldemar Kammer, a 70-year-old electrical engineer, officially retired from Aerospace in 1998, after 35 years on the job.
