It consists of three modules, including the service selection module, the computation offloading module and the runtime management module.
The computation offloading module establishes connections to cloud resources, manages available mobile services and helps invoke remote services, as mentioned in Section 3. The resource registration manager establishes connections to servers and deploys services onto them.
The controller application consists of three core modules, namely, authentication and charging (AC) module, offload manager (OM), and the load balancing (LB) module.

Peripheral modules can offload simple and relatively fixed functions from the processor core.
In the second approach, CRC computation is offloaded to a specialized module embedded in one of the DMA engines.
Along with partial data offloading algorithm, it is expected that SDN-based module framework will achieve an optimized overall system state.
Next, for the OM module, the service-level rules describe the traffic features and characteristics which are required by the offload manager, e.g., related IP addresses, port numbers, bit rates, and delay sensitivity.
Our future work will focus on developing the QoS-aware module for cloud-based video processing and on utilizing multiple CAPs to accommodate video applications with overlarge offload data size.
For example, ( {A}_i={displaystyle sum_{k=1}^L}{a}_k^i ), where ( {a}_k^i ) is the kth module of A i, and some parts (i.e., coded modules) of A i can be offloaded.
