Parliament amended the Information and Communication Technology Act, which now states that publishing anything which "hurts or is likely to hurt religious sentiments" is an offence – one for which activists can be legally arrested without a warrant.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said three were for public order offences, one was for possession of an offensive weapon, three were for going equipped and 12 were for breaches of the peace.
These included six prisoners convicted of drugs offences, one serving time for theft and another who was jailed for a driving offence.
In total, 76 were arrested on public order offences (one person was arrested for suspected assault).
Meanwhile, since 2000 the Northern Ireland police have investigated 28 cases of people suspected of procuring an abortion, since 2006 ten men and one woman have been investigated for the offence, one of those men being convicted in 2010.
This means that a person who is sentenced for two different offences, one committed before 4 April , 2005 and one committed after, is subjected to a different early release scheme for each sentence, even though he is serving them concurrently.

This list would include those with convictions for murder, rape, terrorism, kidnapping, drug offences, one punch violations, and corruption.

According to Essex police, a suspect arrested for crimes committed in any of the Athena force areas can be dealt with for all offences in one custody suite, without the need for the suspect to be transferred between each force and processed for crimes committed exclusively in that force area.
