The family is subdivided into five genera, of which, three genera, i.e., Lymphocystivirus, Ranavirus, and Megalocytivirus, are serious pathogens to a wide range of freshwater and marine fish including rock bream, turbot, Japanese flounder, orange-spotted grouper, catfish, sturgeon, largemouth bass, rainbow trout, and red sea bream [ 26– 30].
The order Lactobacillales comprised of 10 different genera, out of which the genera Lactobacillus, Enterococcus, Paralactobacillus and Streptococcus formed more than 99% of all Lactobacillales.
Some Eubacterium spp. have been reclassified into novel genera within two bacterial phyla — Actinobacteria and Firmicutes — of which six genera (Dorea, Collinsella, Eggerthella, Flavonifractor, Mogibacterium and Pseuodramibacter) can be members of the gastrointestinal microbiota (Willems & Collins, 1996; Kageyama et al., 1999a, b; Nakazawa et al., 2000; Taras et al., 2002; Carlier et al., 2010).
The region boasts approximately 400 endemic genera (20 percent of the total flora of the Earth), of which 130 genera are found in the western division, 15 in the southern division, and 150 in the eastern division.
A total of 484 genera were obtained using the Ribosomal Database Project (RDP) classifier, of which 114 genera were commonly shared by all samples.
