The remaining four Siberian J mtDNAs can be assigned to a new J2a2b3 subgroup for which it is difficult to locate a source as these lineages nest together with both northern African-specific J2a2b1 subclade and J2a2b2 lineage of uncertain ancestry originated from the United Kingdom.
Mr. Melmotte, a man of uncertain fortune and lineage who nevertheless rose to the top of London society in the late 1880's, met his downfall when he was caught selling shares to investors in a railroad company that existed only in his imagination.
We inferred robust protein and gene trees using the newly determined chloroplast genome sequences of 24 taxa representing 16 of the 21 primary clades previously recognized in the Chlamydomonadales and of two Jenufa species that belonged to a lineage of uncertain affiliation suspected to be sister to the Golenkiniaceae.
The cytosolic sequences presented several lineages of uncertain relations, many involving sequences from Protists, two from Fungi and a third set from Plants.
Although fungi traditionally had been considered more closely related to plants than to animals, Whittaker and Margulis [ 1] classified the fungi as a separate kingdom in their five-kingdom classification: the three major multicellular groups of animals, fungi, and green plants were each given the status of kingdoms derived from different protistan lineages of uncertain affinities.
Fundamentally, lineage enables simple and consistent representation of uncertain data, it correlates uncertainty in query results with uncertainty in the input data, and query processing with lineage and uncertainty together presents computational benefits over treating them separately.
More than ten lineages were considered as of uncertain placement and left as incertae sedis in the recently revised eukaryote classification [ 2].
The euglenid chloroplast originates from the Pyramimonadales lineage of the prasinophyte algae, whereas the chlorarachniophytes engulfed an alga of uncertain identity from the UTC clade [ 17, 88, 93, 94].
These 105 diverse lineages represent 26 well-established eukaryotic groups as well as those of uncertain affiliation (e.g., Ancyromonas, Malawimonas, Stephanopogon), and contained members of all six putative supergroups (see Additional file 1).
These ecological roles are distributed across several major lineages, including the Zygopteridales, Filicales, and Marattiales, plus some fern-like groups of uncertain affinity, and disappear and reappear independently within these groups.
