One of the authors (M.Y ., a board-certified neurologist, informed the workers of a Tokyo company about the results of the health checkup and interviewed all 99 workers (29 men and 70 women aged 20 59 years; 7.0% of the present headache sufferers) who had replied that the questionnaire item "I have headaches" applied to them during the health checkup.
Temporal duration of the presenting headache disorder was reported in ≥88% of patients' records (Table 3).
Mean duration of the presenting headache disorder ranged from 6.8 years in Georgia-Tbilisi to 17.6 years in Norway-Trondheim.
Three patients (0.8 %) not complaining of inter-IH only presented headache before seizures: it showed tension-type headache-like features in two patients, while one patient did not recall the features of his pre-IH.

It has been suggested that approximately 2% of MS patients present with headache.
