These estimations are termed (tau )-free estimations and are very interesting from the point of view of improving the fitting quality.
Although the simultaneous estimation of the four NS parameters improves the fitting quality of the yield curve and is convenient for pricing proposals, the objective function in term structure estimation with price errors is not only non-linear but also non-convex in parameters.
