Leave-one-out cross-validated classification accuracy estimates (percent correct) were mapped back to the center of each searchlight, thus producing a classification accuracy map.

Searchlight analyses were conducted on the whole-brain volume with each searchlight consisting of a cube of 7 × 7 × 7 voxels (14 mm × 14 mm × 14 mm = 2744 mm), using the searchmight toolbox (http://minerva.csbmb.princeton.edu/searchmight/, last accessed March 25 , 2013 (Pereira and Botvinick 2011) and a linear SVM with the margin equal to 1/the number of voxels in each searchlight (1/343).
Each searchlight consisted of 160 adjacent voxels and the calculations were restricted to voxels lying in the cerebellum using a masking algorithm in the SUIT toolbox (Diedrichsen, 2006).
The similarity between the model and the neural data within each searchlight is then returned to the voxel at the center of the searchlight for further analysis.
We again adjusted the radius of the searchlight for each center, such that either 80 (Experiment 1) or 160 voxels (Experiment 2) were included.
