We determined the crystal structure of a sAB-hPRL-R complex, which revealed a novel allosteric mechanism of antagonism, whereby the sAB traps the receptor in a conformation more suitable for hGH binding than hPRL.
We saw no evidence of severing with a sAB raised against maltose binding protein (Fig. S2).
Controlling for alternative explanations, I find that dependence on the regulator is positively associated with the probability of having a SAB.
