Keep your instruction DIRECT.
The instructions, played out over the speakers, are straightforward: observe your breath for three days, then observe your body for seven.
Drain old coolant from your system and add fresh coolant, observing any special instruction in your owner's manual.
In contrast, direct observations, such as those obtained using the System for Observing Fitness Instruction Time (SOFIT), have the advantage of evaluating contextual information, including physical activity patterns and types, with the disadvantage of potentially misclassifying sedentary, light, and moderate intensity physical activities [ 18].
In Experiment 2, we show that children restrict their exploration both after direct instruction to themselves and after overhearing direct instruction given to another child; they do not show this constraint after observing direct instruction given to an adult or after observing a non-pedagogical intentional action.
SOFIT = System for Observing Fitness Instruction time.
During each training session, research assistants used the System for Observing Fitness Instruction Time (SOFIT) [ 14] to collect lesson context and coach behaviour data.
The System for Observing Fitness Instruction Time (SOFIT) [ 23, 24] will be used by the rater to record the activities students engaged in during each lesson, the lesson context, and teacher involvement.
