Similar statistically nonsignificant conclusions were observed with parity, assisted conception, induced abortion history, and prior cervical surgeries.
In fact, opposite risk associations between ER-PR- and ER+PR+ tumors have been observed with parity [ 11, 14], age at first pregnancy [ 9] and breastfeeding[ 11].
Morton et al. [8], [9], [16] did not observe an association of parity with any NHL subtype.
Table 2 shows that for women overall, significant dose-response associations with breast cancer mortality were observed for parity (inversely related: Ptrend < 0.01), and were positively related with age at first childbirth (Ptrend < 0.01) and with BMI (Ptrend = 0.02).
We also observed that prevalence varied with parity, with the lowest rate for the second birth.
No association was observed between parity and ovarian steroids.
The inverse association of parity with breast density observed in this analysis was consistent with the previous reports (Gram et al, 1995; Noh et al, 2006).
Further, we did not observe any significant variation in the association of parity with diabetes between blacks and whites.
The dose-response data generated from this triplicate QCM tool was compared with the aforementioned single unit QCM [ 15], and good parity was observed between them with no statistically significant difference between the different tools at all dilutions tested.
