Hospital doctors in Germany report significantly lower job satisfaction, compared with their colleagues in Norway, and the largest difference was observed on satisfaction with work hours as one of ten components of the job satisfaction scale [ 8].
In addition to load limitation, we have observed that satisfaction due to power limitation and due to control channel limitation is highly relevant in uplink, too.
Further, quality of life (QoL), the general well-being and observed life satisfaction in many aspects for example, physical and psychological health, education, employment, wealth, finance, environment, social relations and sexual function are important aspects of QoL.
In addition, it is observed that satisfaction with life (cognitive component) increases with age (Diener et al. 1999; Ordonez et al. 2011), while the intensity of affective experiences declines over the years (Diener et al. 1999; Kunzmann et al. 2000).
However, similar findings were not observed for satisfaction with life.
The highest decrease was observed for satisfaction with practice facilities and practice organization (−17 and −13 points, respectively).
For the subscales regarding the relationship with the healthcare provider ('staff interest' and 'provider care') we observed high satisfaction levels.
No intervention effect was observed for satisfaction with care or anxiety and outcomes such as patient QOL, actual care and caregiver outcomes were not assessed.
The format of the response choices was ordinal, in line with that used for the CSS-VF, and the best suited to the positive response trends often observed in satisfaction surveys [ 7, 28].
Heyland et al. [ 29] also observed that satisfaction scores were better in patients who were ventilated for more than 48 h, the authors had further provided a conceptual framework of a patient physician interaction (Fig. 3).
