They add: The purpose of education is not simply to prepare people to be economic units but to nurture their ability to flourish as themselves and to seek the flourishing of others.
It examines the barriers and lays out key elements of inclusive societies that respect and protect the rights of children with disabilities and nurture their abilities.
Importantly, we argue that EvoS can expand students' depth of understanding of science, as well as nurture their ability to think about the needs of their patients and the context of their medical practice.
Instead of asking them to be the best, we should encourage them to become their best selves — to nurture their innate abilities, to set goals that are meaningful to them, and commit to achieving them, to make contributions to their communities.
