This included the number of inputs (student answers to AutoTutor questions), number of dialogs interacted with, number of dialogs presented (triggered, regardless of if students answered them), and LSA scores for the quality of student answers to AutoTutor.
In general, each brief dialog attempted to target a single knowledge component, though a small number of dialogs targeted multiple skills.
However, learning gains on the BSDT test were not significantly impacted by the number of dialogs interacted with when analyzed with similar methods as for the ALEKS learning gains (i.e., no dose-dependent effects).
