Amplicons were visualized on 1% agarose gels with GelGreen Nucleic Acid gel stain in 1x Tris-acetate-EDTA (TAE) buffer and were then cleaned with the Wizard SV Gel and PCR Clean-up System (Promega, Charbonnieres les Bains, France), according to the manufacturer's instructions.
The PCR products were electrophoresed on 2.0% agarose gels, stained with SYBR Green I Nucleic Acid Gel Stain (Invitrogen) and visualized by using a gel imaging system (ChemiDoc XRS + System; Bio-Rad Laboratories, HerCAles, CA, USA).
