Flysch, depending on its types, can be stable even under noticeable overburden depth, and exhibit wedge sliding and wider chimney type failures or cause serious deformation even under thin cover.
Figure 3a indicates that, due to the impact of the AFM tip on the particle, a very small force, but a noticeable indentation depth of about 0.6 nm, is produced on the upper surface of particle.
It can occur during shallow dives, but does not usually become noticeable at depths less than 30 m. Except for helium and probably neon, all gases that can be breathed have a narcotic effect, although widely varying in degree.
Crack effects become more noticeable as crack depth increases.
This peak seems to cover (overlap) the neighboring frequencies which results in a frequency drift in the averaged spectrum for iris and depth noticeable in Figure 4(a).
