Unfortunately, Wieland noted, privacy concerns have made automatic face tagging off limits, at least for now.

The ACLU has proposed detailed policy on the handling of body camera video; they suggest that footage be stored for a period of "weeks not years," noting privacy concerns, unless the case involves the use of force, a complaint has been filed, or it led to detention or arrest.
They do prettier things, too, but the whole force of the duet is its note of privacy.

As for why users are spending no more time on apps than they were before: Nielsen doesn't really explore that issue, but it does note that privacy has slightly increased as an issue for U.S. consumers: some 73percentt note personal data collection as a concern (compared to 70percentt a year ago), with 55percentt saying they are wary of sharing information.
