The most significant p-value for both local 2D scans (QTL A: −log10(P) = 4.39; QTL C: −log10(P) = 4.44) was not substantially more significant than our most significant single QTL models (QTL A: -log10(P) = 3.19; QTL C: −log10(P) = 3.5).
This does not constitute a substantially significant alteration for the purposes of this analysis.
Replacing BMI with FMI (Model 4) did not substantially change the significant associations for both HMW-adiponectin and sOB-R (ORs in the highest quartile were 0.30, 95%CI 0.18∼0.50, Ptrend<.0001 and 0.61, 95%CI 0.36∼1.02, Ptrend = 0.02, accordingly); but abolished the significance between leptin and the risk of MetS (Ptrend = 0.23).
The results showed that IgE reactivity of sera from 9 patients was dramatically reduced (>90%), whereas that of 5 patients was not substantially decreased, suggesting that a significant number of patients were allergic to proteins other than the three major allergens.
The results have not substantially change; actually, even more significant p-values were obtained (see the new Additional File 6).
The adjusted ORs for current exposure to any fluoroquinolone and for current or any exposure to ciprofloxacin were not statistically significant, were not substantially above 1, and were not substantially higher than the adjusted ORs for β-lactam antibiotics (Table 3).
The addition of this variable did not substantially attenuate any of the significant associations from Model 2, with the exception of women's education, which dropped to marginal significance.

When we included the mean PM2.5 concentrations for lag days 1 6 in the same model, ePAD and RV diastolic pressure increases associated with each 11.62-μg/m 11.62-μg/mn same-day (lag 0) mean PM2.5 concentratincrease not substantinlly attenuated and remained statistically significant (ePAD: 0.17 mmHg; 95% CI, 0.02–0.32; RV diastolag pressure: 0.23 mean; 95% CI, 0.10–0.35).
The third ECG showed regression of the ECG modifications in Group A. In the women of Group B, the second and third ECGs were not substantially different, but there were statistically significant differences between the first and third ECGs.
Variables were introduced sequentially into each model starting with the variable that exhibited the strongest correlation until further additions were not significant or did not substantially improve the model performance.
