'not much affected' is a perfectly correct and usable phrase in written English.
It is commonly used to indicate that a person, thing, or situation has not changed significantly or has not been significantly impacted by an event or action. For example, you might say: "Although the economic recession caused financial hardship for some people, our family was not much affected."
