To utilize heat and electricity in a clean and integrated manner, a zero-carbon-emission micro Energy Internet (ZCE-MEI) architecture is proposed by incorporating non-supplementary fired compressed air energy storage (NSF-CAES) hub.
Under the fund of the State Grid key technology project, Tsinghua University, China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI) and Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have constructed a 500 kW non-supplementary fired CAES (NSF-CAES) and finished the field tests in 2014 [12].
