These areas of regenerating nodules are hyper-enhancing on contrast-enhanced imaging compared with the devascularised non-enhancing necrotic liver [31].
Contrast-enhanced MRI (Fig. 9) is essential for the differentiation between non-enhancing dermoid cyst, enhancing nasal mucosa and other masses, such as haemangioma, meningioma or teratoma [47].
