The RBOCs cannot extend the life of the narrowband model no matter how much they might wish it.
Pairwise post hoc testing indicated this effect to be due to significantly longer μ values during broadband testing, with no differences observed between narrowband conditions (μ [s], mean ± SE: 1-kHz NBN = 1.85 ± 0.43; 4-kHz NBN = 1.83 ± 0.42; 16-kHz NBN = 1.76 ± 0.42; BBN = 1.97 ± 0.39; Figure 3B).
