And what's next: boomer for sound engineer?
That was my takeaway from the panel I moderated at the What's Next Boomer Business Summit: The On-Demand Marketplace for Services, Health Care and Home.

But even as Gen X moves to the forefront, don't expect them to become the next Boomers or Millennials in terms of demanding the spotlight from the financial industry.
So, if you're a white middle class suburbanite whose local cops have recovered your stolen Audi, convinced the boomer next door to turn down their Steppenwolf at two in the morning, or pulled a loved one from a burning wreck you're like to have a positive attitude about the police, telling uplifting stories about them.
From shooting the boomer next to your teammate in L4D to stepping off the button as your friend steps on the platforms across a pit in Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, there are just so many ways you can pull it off.

As most remaining silent generation directors leave boards over the next few years, boomers will establish virtual demographic hegemony over boardrooms at S&P 1500 firms.

But with 37 million Americans over the age of 65, and 30 million more expected to cross that thin gray line in the next decade, the boomers and older consumers still represent billions of dollars in potential sales.
Of course, with so many Millennials around (they'll displace the Baby Boomers next year as America's largest living adult generation), you can find examples to fit any stereotype.
Worrisome, yes, but a pittance next to the baby boomer bill.
