Finally, a new entertainment unit will support existing programs, like "Car Talk" and "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!," a news quiz show, and develop new broadcasts.
The answer: they are using new broadcasts designed specifically for viewers on the move.
Called Mobile Digital TV and heavily promoted at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last month, the new broadcasts originate from local stations that have upgraded their digital transmitters to send out mobile channels.

But the combination of outspoken (if not entirely camera-ready) thrill-seekers like Michael Sorrentino (a k a the Situation), Nicole Polizzi (alias Snooki), Jennifer Farley (that's JWoww to you) somehow blended together like gym, tanning and laundry: by the end of its first season, "Jersey Shore" was drawing nearly 5 million viewers an episode for new broadcasts.
When it made its debut in 2010, "Spartacus," whose first season was subtitled "Blood and Sand," was among the first original series to gain traction for Starz, drawing more than 1 million viewers for new broadcasts of its final few episodes.
