The new assemblages will also contain effectors, by which the numerical output of the central machine will be converted into the rotation of shafts, or the admission of chemicals into a tank, or the heating of a boiler, or some other process of the kind.
As a result of the land use change, new assemblages of abiotic and biotic system components appear to lead to the development of stable alternative ecological states.
As discussed further below, this is particularly relevant to IAP-dominated ecosystems in which many new assemblages are achieved by human-mediated dispersal (Richardson and Gaertner 2013).
And we have already seen that these new assemblages will slowly recover (Fig. 4) so that recurrent climate-stress in time would not lead to faster recovery rates, but rather to pioneer-rich forest communities with slow recovery rates.
