This paper details the prediction of flexural receptances for nested components with common neutral axes using a multiple-point receptance coupling approach.

Our modeling approach is unique in that it can simultaneously estimate not only the composition of a population's diet but also the variation in diet among several nested components of the population.
To apportion variances among nested components, we fit a hierarchical model (using PROC MIXED).
The importance of natal nest and host nest components was assessed by examining the change in the corrected Akaike information criterion (AICc) when the random effect under consideration was included in the model.
