In the detection of the negative interactions in the SGA - GIM dataset pair, the rank product performed better than the Borda count or either of the individual datasets alone, whereas the liberal minimum rank gave the highest overall AUC performance (Table 4).
Interestingly, with QMA adjusted to negative interactions, the original SGA double-mutant fitness matrix provided better correlation with the GIM dataset than when using the custom-designed SGA scores (Additional File 3).
