As another measure of inter-rater reliability, we also calculated Cohen's κ, which corrects for the probability of two raters agreeing due to chance, but includes both negative agreement and positive agreement.
Concordance was assessed by: proportion of observed agreement; Byrt's [23] kappa (measures the relationship between two respondent groups, corrected for bias); prevalence (when one response is more probable than another) and bias (when marginal distributions for the raters are unequal) indices [23]; and proportions of positive and negative agreement [24] (see Additional file 3).
For AD samples we achieved 100% positive agreement and for NDC samples a 92% negative agreement (Fig. 3d).
