With the medoids, nearest data points can be calculated and made it as clusters.
To ensure the continuity of the data, a linear interpolation between the nearest data points is used.
This leads to several relevant drawbacks such as the risk of creating clusters that include data points (or learners) that are actually not too close, the risk of getting different clusters when running the same clustering algorithm again, meaning that the clustering algorithm does not always group the nearest data points (or learners), or the need for a predefined number of clusters.
We used the Kriging interpolation technique [with a spherical semivariogram, variable search radius and based on the 12 nearest data points; ref. 39] to create winter chill surfaces at a 20 arc-minute spatial resolution.
The interpolants of linear interpolation are calculated from two nearest data points using a first order linear equation.
The hyperplane is learned from the training set such that it separates instances with different labels and also maintains the maximum margin to the nearest data points.

5) Fetch data from the matching waveform between the previous point of the nearest data point to P i and the previous extreme point to obtain the extension waveform and extend the waveform to the left endpoint.
Moreover, in the framework of the probability density function estimation, the nearest neighbour method provides density estimates depending on the Euclidean distance to the k-th nearest data point [19].
The hyperplane with the maximal distance from the hyperplane to the nearest data point is selected.
However, maximum separation (margin) between the two classes is of additional interest, and therefore, the hyperplane with the maximal distance from the hyperplane to the nearest data point is selected.
The distance between the hyperplane and the nearest data point on each side (called support vectors) is maximized.
