According to the F.D.A.'s standards, flour labeled ''whole wheat'' must retain the germ, bran and endosperm in their native proportions, and ''whole-wheat bread'' must be made with whole-wheat flour, but the agency does not verify products' composition before they hit the market.
The GBLUP approach requires also two groups of individuals with different and known native proportions, but not necessarily the pure subsets.
The native proportion of workers in private Omani companies, for example, has jumped from 10% to 20% since 1990.
Conversely, the self-declared Hispanic Caucasian group displayed an African ancestry proportion of 0.04%±0.08 (Figure 6B), and a Native American ancestry proportions of 0.33%±0.21 (Figure 6D).
Observers were also asked about their own age, ethnicity, self-estimated African, East Asian, European, and Native American ancestry proportions, where they lived for most of their life, income, and education (only for MVD observers).
The self-declared Hispanic non-Caucasian group displayed an African ancestry proportion of 0.24%±0.35% (also see Figure 6B), and Native American ancestry proportion of 0.18%±0.20% (also see Figure 6D).

The REML variance component estimates for the model suggest that the parameter site contributes a range of variability between −2.33 and 27.1% for the parameters described; the former for canopy cover, the latter for the proportion native species.
The presence of an unexpectedly high proportion Native American mtDNA substrate has been described previously in other American populations that also experienced dramatic demographic changes in colonial times, such as Puerto Rico [ 29, 30](Martinez-Cruzado et al. 2001)(Martinez-Cruzado et al. 2005), Brazil [ 31] and Mexico [ 32].
There was no suggestion of a trend for the early colonizing communities to be shifting towards the higher proportions of native species associated with the upland that had median percentages of native species of 75%and71%1% in the two years of sampling.
This STR therefore provides an informative forensic marker applicable in countries with significant proportions of Native American populations or ancestry.
