In Europe, the KRAS European Quality Assurance Program (http://kras.eqascheme.org/) has been launched and several Communauté Européene-labelled KRAS mutation test kits such as the TheraScreen K-RAS Mutation Kit DxS-QIAGEN, Manchesterr, UK), KRAS LightMix (TIB MolBiol, Berlin, Germany) and PyroMark Q24 KRAS Kit (QIAGEN, Duesseldorf, Germany) have been approved for diagnostic use.
It was expected that somatic mutation testing from such a large cohort of NSCLC patients would provide more reliable results for interpreting the association of mutation frequencies with patient demographics.
To test such hypothesis, we analyzed 2,572 TP53 mutations associated with primary CRCs from 12 countries or geographic areas.
Mutation testing in other genes, such as ATM, TP53 and CHEK2, has also been performed and reported elsewhere [ 20- 22].

The work can be applied in various domains such as EFSM-based test derivation, mutation testing, and fault diagnosis.
