In the 1832 samples analysed we identified 19 protein-truncating mutations, which is likely to be an underestimate of the mutation frequency, as the mutation detection method we have used (as with other high through-put methods) would have not been able to detect large deletions/rearrangements (no MLPA was conducted for this set of samples).
