To address this issue Lazarus and colleagues [ 31, 32] have generated and characterized a number of DNase I mutants, including ones resistant to inhibition by G-actin.
The mutants included one that endowed its offspring with better resistance to the killer virus.
In contrast, all variants functioned similar to wild-type (WT), being able to substantially rescue vps35-mutant phenotypes including one assay of endosome-to-TGN recycling.
CN analysis showed that the PIK3CA locus was amplified (1.544, 1.436, and 1.316, log2) in AR+/PIK3CA mutant tumors, including one tumor (TCGA-C8-A12L) with a focal amplification of only 12 genes (Additional file 3: Figure S2).
