Stabilization through filopodial dynamics is further supported by the observation of 'jumping' growth cones in CadN mutants, as discussed below.
However, surprisingly little is currently known about whether basal muscle maintenance and function is altered in the context of aging in long-lived mTOR mutant or, as discussed, rapamycin-treated mice.
