In multivariate analysis, place of residence remained an independent predictor (p<0.001) and there was also an increased risk in those with non-RHD (HR=4.6, 95% CI 1.2 to 17.6; p=0.03), a primary focus of pneumonia (HR=6.0, 95% CI 1.5 to 24.5), and those with a previous BSI (HR=3.8, 95% CI 1.4 to 10.3; p−0.008).
In multivariate analysis, public place location (OR 0.3 [0.1–0.9], p = 0.029) and male gender (OR 0.3 [0.1–0.9], p = 0.036) were both associated with a lower risk of major arrhythmia recurrence during the ICU stay.
