On multivariate analysis, apart from history of previous uterine surgery, we also found skin color as a protective factor, in contrast to descriptions in the literature reporting nonwhite skin color as a risk for the occurrence of complications and death from ectopic pregnancy.
This is in contrast to a previous smaller study (Ramsey et al, 2008) in which on multivariate analysis apart from clinico-pathological variables and the SSIGN, UISS and Kattan scores, only CRP but not other haematological variables was significant for CSS or RFS.
