For subsequent multivariate survival analyses, individuals with unknown insurance status were combined with uninsured cases, as the univariate survival curves for these two groups appeared to overlap (Fig. 1).
To extract information from those patterns, the preliminary assessments based on Procrustes distances are usually followed by multivariate analyses of individual variation and asymmetry that can address a wide range of biological questions [ 11, 18, 21, 24, 30, 33, 53- 56].
