At surgery, most patients had multiple skeletal metastases (73%) followed by generalized metastases (20%) (Table 1).
The skeletal metastatic load was divided into two categories, solitary and multiple skeletal metastases.
Katagiri et al. reported five prognostic factors discriminant for survival, namely, site of primary lesion, performans status, presence of visceral or cerebral metastasis and multiple skeletal metastases [ 16].

Other causes include primary hyperparathyroidism, skeletal metastases and multiple myeloma [4].
