A disrupted microbiome has been associated with a lengthening list of problems: obesity and its opposite, malnutrition; diabetes (both type-1 and type-2); atherosclerosis and heart disease; multiple sclerosis; asthma and eczema; liver disease; numerous diseases of the intestines, including bowel cancer; and autism.
The inappropriate activation or suppression of T cells can be implicated in nearly all human diseases, including cancer, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, asthma, allergies, diabetes, and many others [3], [4], [36], [37], [38].
IL-17A is known to play a role in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, asthma, and inflammatory bowel disease [ 12, 13], and in chronic vascular inflammation, atherosclerosis, and hypertensive vascular changes [ 14].

In humans, stressful life events have been linked to the onset and exacerbation of illness symptoms in a number of chronic inflammatory conditions where cytokines are elevated, including rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular disease, multiple sclerosis, asthma and psoriasis (Black and Garbutt, 2002; Kemeny and Schedlowski, 2007; Perry et al., 2007).

Some of these are utilized for inflammatory disorders such as multiple sclerosis and asthma.
Autoimmune and allergic immune disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease, multiple sclerosis or asthma are rapidly increasing in westernized countries.
30– 34 IL-17 has an important role in several immune-mediated disorders, including psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, uveitis, Crohn's disease, multiple sclerosis, and asthma.
