On abdominal radiographs, multiple dilated small bowel loops with air fluid levels and small bowel wall thickening can be seen.
The dilated bowel loops had multiple, small, intramural nodules.
The patient was readmitted with plain radiographic (A) evidence of distended bowel loops with multiple fluid-fluid levels.
Small bowel obstruction due to metastatic deposits is seen on MDCT as dilated small bowel loops with single or multiple transition points, enhancing intraluminal, mural or serosal tumor deposits and focal asymmetric mural thickening (Fig. 9).
Multiple nodules were found in the wall of the dilated bowel loops.
Bowel stiffness: non-compressible and hypoperistaltic bowel loops.
Other Finding (8) - including dilated bowel loops!
Oral contrast is noted in bowel loops.
The involvement of bowel serosa can lead to (asymmetric) bowel wall thickening, tethering of bowel loops and bowel obstruction.
