In some cases for which multiple accessions were analysed per genus, the genera were recovered as monophyletic, such as Malephora N.E.Br.

Although effective de novo approaches exist for transcriptome assembly, the annotation step is often a bottleneck for non-model organism studies, especially if multiple accessions (or species) are being compared.
To identify any differences that would be useful for plant breeding purposes it is therefore very important that accessions are trialled over multiple years and in different fields.
