The median CD4 cell increase of 130 cells/μl after 12 months of cART was comparable to the immunological recovery reported in the large cART-LINC Collaboration multinational analysis and the Rwandan National Programme [ 36, 37, 40], but was lower than in smaller cohorts [ 12, 14, 38, 39, 42- 44].
